Turn of Phrase is a word puzzle game developed by Backwoods Development. This privacy policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.
Information We Collect
We do not collect personal information directly. Turn of Phrase does not require an account, login, email address, or other personally identifiable information to function.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
- Game progress, including puzzles completed, scores, and streaks
- Tutorial completion status
- App preferences
This local gameplay data is not transmitted to Backwoods Development servers.
Advertising
The app displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. This may include device identifiers, IP address, general location derived from IP address, app usage data, and ad interaction data.
Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google AdMob policies.
You can adjust ad personalization settings on your device through Google's advertising controls.
Analytics
Turn of Phrase does not use analytics services. We do not track which puzzles you play, how often you open the app, or how you progress through the game beyond the data stored locally on your device.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share user data with third parties. The only third-party service integrated into the app is Google AdMob for advertising, as described above.
Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will address the issue promptly.
Data Retention
All gameplay data remains on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its local storage removes that data. Backwoods Development does not retain gameplay data on its servers because the app does not transmit that data to us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
