UntangleMe is published by Backwoods Development.
This Privacy Policy explains what information UntangleMe collects, uses, and shares when you use the app. Even if an app collects very little, app stores still expect a public privacy policy page and basic disclosures.
UntangleMe does not directly collect, store, or ask for personal information (for example: name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or account credentials). There are no user accounts and no in-app profile.
UntangleMe does show ads. Ads are provided by third-party advertising SDKs (for example, Google AdMob / the Google Mobile Ads SDK). Those third parties may automatically collect and share certain information to serve ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud.
If you use the Google Mobile Ads SDK, Google documents that it may collect/share data such as:
Important: UntangleMe does not collect user data directly, but you should not interpret this as “no data is collected at all” when ads/SDKs are present. Ad networks may collect identifiers and telemetry as part of ad delivery.
Because UntangleMe does not directly collect/store personal data, it does not maintain a personal-data retention database.
Third-party ad providers retain data according to their policies and settings.
Where applicable, data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS (per Google’s documentation). (Your app should still be served over HTTPS and follow normal secure development practices.)
If you serve users in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, ad personalization may require a consent flow (e.g., Google’s EU User Consent approach / UMP), and users must be able to change/withdraw consent where required.
UntangleMe does not directly collect or store personal information. However, third-party ad providers may collect device identifiers, usage events, and diagnostic data as part of providing and measuring ads.
UntangleMe is not designed to collect personal info from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through some direct contact channel, reach out and we’ll address it. (If the app is child-directed, ad/SDK rules change fast—be careful.)
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective” date at the top and post the new version at the same URL.
