Overview
Cradle: Baby Log (formerly branded as Kairos) is a baby care tracking app that helps parents and caregivers log events such as diapers, feedings, sleep, pumping, and tummy time. It is developed by Backwoods Development.
Cradle is built with a privacy-first approach. The app does not collect personal information from its users. This policy describes what that means in practice.
Information We Collect
Cradle: Baby Log does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. There is no account creation, no sign-up process, and no login required to use the app.
The app does not collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, location data, contacts, photos, or any other personal information.
How Information Is Used
Because Cradle does not collect personal information, there is no user data to process, analyze, or use for any purpose. The app does not profile users, build advertising profiles, or make automated decisions based on user behavior.
Data Sharing
Cradle: Baby Log does not sell, rent, trade, or share personal data with any third party. No user data leaves the app.
Data Storage
All data you enter into Cradle — such as feeding logs, diaper changes, sleep records, and notes — is stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to Backwoods Development or any external server.
If the app offers export or backup features, those actions are initiated by you and the resulting files remain under your control. Backwoods Development does not have access to exported data.
Uninstalling the app or clearing app data will permanently remove locally stored information from your device.
Children's Privacy
Cradle: Baby Log is designed for use by parents and caregivers to track baby-related events. The app is not intended for direct use by children. Because the app does not collect any personal information from any user, it does not knowingly collect information from children.
Your Choices and Control
You are in full control of your data at all times:
- All tracking data stays on your device unless you choose to export it.
- You can delete individual entries or all data within the app at any time.
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
- No account exists to delete, because no account is created.
Third-Party Services
Cradle: Baby Log does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no tracking pixels in the app.
Note: the Google Play Store and Apple App Store may independently collect usage and device data as part of their platform operations. That collection is governed by Google's and Apple's own privacy policies, not this one.
Website and Hosting
This privacy policy is hosted on the Backwoods Development website. Like most web servers, the hosting infrastructure may generate standard server logs (such as IP addresses, timestamps, and pages requested) as part of normal operation. These logs are not linked to app usage and are not used for tracking or profiling.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Because Cradle does not collect user data, material changes to this policy are unlikely.
